 To write different kinds of sentence: statement, question, exclamation and command.

To use expanded noun phrases to add description and specification e.g. the blue butterfly.
To write using subordination, when, if, that, because and using co-ordination, and, but, of.

To write using the correct and consistent use of present tense and past tense.

To write using correct and consistent use of a wider range of punctuation: capital letters, full stops, question marks, exclamation marks and commas in a list.

To be able to use an apostrophe for omission (wasn’t)
