Welcome to the Tawny Owl Class

Our class teacher is Mrs Muldoon. Miss Atkinson works within our class every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Mrs Dooley works within our class too. 

Miss Hagen works with us on a Thursday afternoon.

We have PE on a Thursday and a Friday. Friday PE is with our sports coach Tom. 

Please remove all jewellery on these days. 

Summer Term
In Summer Term we will be carrying out different themes in our foundation stage subjects, our History theme for the first half of Summer Term is The Monarchy, this will fit in really well with the coronation of the new King in May, our main theme will be British Values. In Science our unit is Living Things and Their Habitats. In English we will be exploring the texts Lost and Found, How to Catch a Star, The Incredible Book Eating Boy, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and Be More Bernard. In Maths we will be doing work on Time, Measure, Length, Weight, Mass, Statistics, Position and Direction and Problem Solving and carrying out different challenges in all areas of Maths to show how good we are in all the areas. In RE we will be exploring different religious buildings and different stories Jesus told. 

Spring Term

Our topic this term is Cultural Living. Our Science unit is Materials. We will be exploring the following texts over the term in our English writing lessons, Handa's Surprise, Where Three Oceans Meet, Wombat Goes Walkabout. In our VIPERs Reading work we will be looking at the texts Grandma Bird and Town Mouse Country Mouse. In RE we will be using the text Let's Celebrate. In Maths we will be doing work on Multiplication and Division, Fractions and Time, as well as revising work we have already covered, we will also continue counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. 

Autumn Term

Our topics this term are England and Celebrations. Our Science unit is Animals, Including Humans. We will be exploring the following texts in English in Autumn Term, Katie in London, Room on the Broom, Where the Poppies Now Grow, The Very Last Castle and Katie's London Christmas.  In Maths we will be doing work on Place Value, Addition and Subtraction, Money and Shape, we will also be counting in 2s, 3s, 5s and 10s.
