Welcome to Eagle Owl Class!

Welcome to Eagle Owl class. Mrs Mackenzie is our class teacher. Miss Hughes is our senior teaching assistant and Miss Atkinson is our apprentice teaching assistant. We are a mixed year 1 and year 2 class who have fun together, work hard and always try our best in all aspects of school life. 

On Mondays our year 1 children have PE with our sports coach Tom, this term our focus with Tom is games and athletics. On Thursday mornings all Eagle Owls have PE, this term we are doing karate with Sensei Natalie from NS Karate School. Friday is our year 2 children's turn to have PE with our sports coach Tom.  Please remove all jewellery on these days and arrive at school in your P.E. kits. 
 

This spring term our topic is cultural living. In Science our topic is materials and their properties. In English this term we will be exploring a range of cultural stories including Handa's Surprise, Where Three Oceans Meet and Wombat goes Walkabout. In maths we will be working on developing a range of skills including multiplication and division calculations, reading and using time in addition to consolidating our knowledge of counting in 2s.5s and 10s.
