Every school receives additional Government funding to improve the quality, breadth and participation in Physical Education and sports provision.
At Brisbane Park Infant School we aim to use our funding to enable all pupils to develop a healthy lifestyle and take part in a wide range of physical activities.
We have used the funding to improve and add new playground markings for Reception and Year 1. We are installing playground equipment on the Reception Playground to encourage physical activities.
We have coaches in school from Onside Sports Coaching for all year groups. These coaches work alongside our PE Co-ordinator to improve PE teaching and learning.
The funding has been used to provide extra equipment for the children to play with at playtimes and lunchtime.
There has been an increased participation in school sports by running additional after-school PE Clubs.
We have linked with other schools fo cricket, gymnastics, athletics competitions and for sports days. Transport costs, where needed are covered by the funding.
The Sports Fund is being used to enhance the skills of our PE Co-ordinator who has completed a Level 5 training course and is aiming to complete Level 6 training.
